⚠️ Important: The Meta Is Still Forming

FH6 launched May 19. At time of writing, the game has been fully playable for less than a week (early access started May 16). Tier lists from major sites are preliminary, and the competitive meta will shift as players discover optimized builds and the first Forza Edition cars are obtained.

This page will be updated as more community data becomes available.

🏎️ What We Know From Early Players

Togue Battles (New 1v1 Downhill Mode)

Source: IGN, Eurogamer, early-access players on Reddit

Togue Battles are the standout new mode in FH6. They're 1v1 downhill duels on narrow mountain roads — closest to the "Initial D" experience the community has wanted for years.

Early player reports suggest:

  • AWD cars are favored for stability (as expected for mountain descents)
  • The Subaru WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution are popular early picks (community-sourced, unconfirmed)
  • Drift builds are viable but harder — the narrow roads punish mistakes severely

Best Starter Cars (Community Recommendations)

Inferred from series patterns: The following are cars that historically perform well in Horizon games and are confirmed to be in FH6's car list. Their actual in-game performance has not been extensively tested by the community yet.

  • Subaru BRZ / Toyota GR86 — Historically the best balanced starter. Good for learning the handling model.
  • Mazda MX-5 (Miata) — Always a strong low-tier option for D/C class racing.
  • Ford Focus RS — Reliable A-class all-rounder in previous titles.

⚠️ These recommendations are inferences based on FH5 performance. Actual FH6 stats may differ.
