Fisch is Roblox's most popular fishing game, but it doesn't hold your hand. Here are 10 things every new player should know to avoid wasting time and coins.

1. Skip the First Two Rods

Don't buy the Plastic Rod ($500) or Lucky Rod ($1,200). Save until you have $2,000 and buy the Carbon Rod directly. It has +25% luck and carries you through the entire early game.

2. Master the Reeling Minigame

Hold Mouse 1 to move your slider right, release to move left. Keep the fish icon inside the bar. A Perfect Catch (fish never leaves the bar) gives +$10 and 1.5x EXP.

3. Use Bait Always

Even basic Worms give +50% Luck. Never fish without bait. Buy Common Bait Crates — skip Quality Crates (overpriced for early game).

4. Fish at Roslit Bay

Head West from Moosewood to Roslit Bay. The coral reefs there have better fish and higher payouts than the starting dock.

5. Lock Valuable Fish

Press Mouse 2 to lock a fish so you don't accidentally sell it. Use the Fish Appraiser at Moosewood for fish worth $500+.

6. Use Crab Cages for Passive Income

Buy Crab Cages ($45) and drop them in shallow water. Collect every 10 minutes for free passive income while you fish.

7. Don't Wander Randomly

Stick to known good spots. Moosewood → Carbon Rod → Roslit Bay → Steady Rod ($7k) → Arctic Rod ($25k) is the optimal early path.

8. Buy GPS and Glider Early

GPS ($100) shows coordinates for navigation. Glider ($900, Roslit Bay) lets you jump off peaks to travel faster.

9. Check Codes Weekly

Fisch releases new codes every week through Discord and Twitter/X. Check our codes page regularly for free coins, skins, and rods.

10. Don't Sell Legendaries Immediately

Some quests need specific legendary fish. Check the bestiary or ask in Discord before selling anything rare.
