The Prophet is the first Overlord (major boss) in Saros, fought at the end of Shattered Rise (Biome 1). It is a plant-like monstrosity with three health bars that cannot be damaged directly -- you must destroy glowing yellow buds on the walls to expose its weak point. The fight takes place in a circular arena with red grass on the edges that slows your movement. [Source: IGN, Dot Esports, Polygon]

Preparation

  • Proficiency Level: Aim for at least level 15 before entering the boss arena
  • Second Chance: Unlock this in the Armor Matrix first -- it provides one free revive during the fight
  • Weapon Choice: Smart Rifle (auto-aim helps focus on dodging), Ricochet Handcannon, or Light Slinger are all effective
  • Shield Amplifier upgrade: If available, it lets you absorb yellow projectiles with your shield in addition to blue
  • Full-clear Shattered Rise: Explore all side rooms for Lucenite, artifacts, and Carcosan Keys before engaging

Weapon recommendations based on IGN, GameRant, and Dot Esports guides. Exact loadout effectiveness varies by player preference and available drops.

Phase 1 -- Opening Barrage

  • Primary objective: Destroy the yellow glowing buds on the walls on either side of the arena. The Prophet is completely invulnerable until these are gone.
  • Once buds are destroyed: The central eye on the Prophet opens -- unload all damage on it.
  • Dodge pattern: The boss fires diagonal yellow waves (dash to the side) and a horizontal yellow wave (jump over it or dodge into it).
  • Shield management: Absorb blue homing projectiles with your Soltari Shield to charge your Power Weapon.
  • At half health: The eye closes and new buds appear. Repeat the destruction process.

Phase 2 -- Escalation

Same core loop as Phase 1 but significantly more chaotic:

  • New threat: The boss spawns ground enemies and blobs that fire yellow projectiles. Destroy them quickly or you will be overwhelmed.
  • New attack patterns:
    • Triple rings of yellow projectiles expanding outward -- stand in the gaps or dash through
    • Multiple yellow waves in sequence requiring rapid consecutive dodges
    • More frequent blue projectile barrages (good for charging Power Weapon)
  • Strategy: Keep destroying wall buds to expose the weak point. Use Power Weapon the moment it charges. Stay mobile.

Phase 3 -- Caged Fury

  • Arena shrinks: The boss erects vine walls on both sides, trapping you in a narrow corridor with greatly reduced mobility.
  • Attack speed increases: The Prophet cycles through all previous attacks much faster.
  • Survival first: Focus on staying alive. Stay near the center, move side to side, and use Power Weapon whenever charged.
  • Second Chance: If you have it, this is where it saves your run. Do not panic -- use that extra life to finish the fight.
