1. Getting Your First Ship (Catch Class)

Windrose features 9 craftable ships in 3 classes. Your first ship is the Catch class — a small but capable vessel. Unlock it through early quest progression. Don't skip the tutorial quests — they give essential blueprints. (Source: GGWTB)

2. Ship Classes

There are 3 ship classes, each with 3 variants: (Source: GGWTB)

  • Catch: Catch, Brethren Catch, Blackbeard Catch
  • Brig: Brig, Brethren Brig, Blackbeard Brig
  • Frigate: Frigate, Brethren Frigate, Blackbeard Frigate

Ship designs are bought from the Provisioner of the Brethren of the Coast.

3. Building a Shipyard

The Shipyard is your ship's home base. Build it near the shoreline at your base. It allows you to:

  • Repair damaged ships
  • Equip and manage your vessels
  • Upgrade with new components when you unlock better blueprints

4. Essential Ship Upgrades

5. Navigation Tips

  • Watch for storms — they damage your ship over time
  • Your ship has a storage compartment — use it to transport bulk resources between islands
